24 hours run at the sea

On May 30 - 31, 2026, the 24hours by the sea running community once again welcomes you to the Danish 24-hour race championships, and this time the community has been awarded the Danish championships for 3 years in a row, i.e. in both 2026, 2027 and 2028. The 24 hours by the sea race has single and relay distances, which can be completed running or walking. And you decide the length yourself! Participate in 3, 6, 12 and 24 hour single or relay races. Participate in a half marathon or full marathon.

You cannot stay overnight at the starting point at Sæby Harbour, but just 2 km along the sea from the harbour we can offer you cheap accommodation in our lodges, cabins, or you can stay here in your own tent, caravan or camper.

Active holiday

Understed Bakker is in our backyard, Kattegat in the front yard and the forests surround our campsite.

Here are good opportunities to get your heart rate up through swimming, hiking and cycling. Or get your heart rate down by simply enjoying the deep quiet tranquility of the forest, or perhaps the flowers in Nellemann's Garden.

If you want to exercise from here at the campsite, North Jutland is known for its surf spots and many good golf courses.

Walk or run on the clover leaf (kløver) trails, where you can choose distances from 2.5 to 21.1 km. Or use our quiet east coast for activities that you can't do on the rough west coast.

Sæby - it doesn't get any cozier than that

As something very special, we are located in the middle of nature, but at the same time only a short walk along the sea from the provincial town, Sæby.

It is not without reason that Sæby is called little Skagen. Here you also have the beach, the sea, the beautiful yellow houses, music events and cafes.  But there are not quite so many people here.

Sæby is cozy in the evening, e.g. when the flag is played down on the harbor at 9 pm during the school summer holidays and ends with an open-air concert.
